Little men of gingerbread

This is a story about little boy named Felix. Ones in the morning he woke up as usual. The sky was grey. But that morning wasn’t usual indeed. It was Christmas morning. He wanted the celebration to be jolly, but he didn’t expect that the weather was bad - the sun didn’t shine, it was rainy, instead of snow… That meant that he and his friends couldn’t play snowball and sled. What could they do? Felix went to wake up his parents. All guests were invited and he had a lot of time before the Christmas dinner.

20 children were invited to the Christmas dinner. Because of bad weather mother offered to refuse to play in the yard and better go the festive table full of tasty dishes. But Felix knew that he must to think up something interesting, because it is very boring just to sit at the table…

In Felix’s house was aroma of tangerines and ginger tea. Huge Christmas tree was brightly decorated. Firewood crackled in the fireplace. In a few minutes little guests attracted their attention to the standing by itself table with baking cups and plates. “What is it?” – asked children Felix. Felix smiled and answered: “If we cannot play snowballs and make a snowman, we will model little men of gingerbread!”  Several hours on end happy children made pastry and modeled little men.

That Christmas was really special. But our culinary story isn’t over, because we told you only about the first Felix’s idea. To be continued…
